Long Time No See!

i guess its been a really long time since I submitted a post. But what can I d. The daily live is sucking the life out of me. However I have started two other Tech related blogs if you care to visit. They have the latest info on how to make your website or blog look more interesting and get more traffic. The links will be at the bottom of the post and do visit them, even if for my sake. Now moving on with my life, my Third year engineering is almost at an end and I will be a 75% Engineer I guess!
So anyways, here are a few updates from the time I last posted:

  • I am 75% engineer (almost so).
  • I learnt about a few cool stuffs and no, I can't tell them to you.
  • My exams are going on. :(
So that means this was just a short post and now, I gotta go.

Am So Bored...

Is it only me or is it really so boring these days? It's as if there is nothing to do and still I cannot find time to blog. And now that I have some time, there is nothing to blog about. The World Cup quarterfinals between India and Australia is going on and here I am stuck in the Geo-technical Engineering lab taking readings for the past 1:30 hours...it seriously sucks big time. How I wish I was at home watching the World Cup on the big screen! Ah..but those are all wishful thinking, it won't be happening anytime soon. I really hope the Team India wins today. I really want to see them kick the asses of the Kangaroos...
Well the best part of the last week was the Oreo Cookie Cupcake made by Ashmita. They were so YUM!! If you want to check out the recipe or want to try making them visit her site: Heavenly Hearth You'll find all types of recipes and believe me they are scrumptious and awesomely delicious!
And another discovery made this week...we (read my college friends) have started idolising dogs all of a sudden! I mean seriously guys, if someone is sleeping, he's sleeping like a dog. If somebody is eating, he's said to be eating like a dog. Similarly there's studying like a dog, drinking like a dog...and so many other things like dogs...
I guess that's all for now.. Stay happy and stay great...just like dogs!

Followers!!

Well, according to the stats of this blog, I guess it is going pretty good. And thanks to all of you guys coming here and reading it. Well the main thing I wanted to say today was about the necessity of followers. Without followers what would leaders be doing?
Leaders are created only because he has followers…now just think if there were no followers how could there ever be a leader? We had a subject called Entrepreneurship and Management…and as most of you will remember, all we talked about were how important a leader is. But we never gave any thought to the guys who were following the leader.

In short, the world needs followers, and we as bloggers are no different. The number of people following the blogs is sort of a status…and supposedly the more the number of followers the better the blog. Just think what would happen if there were no followers of the blog we write? We would go crazy and would have to comment on our own posts and then again find a suitable reply to it. As of now I have 9 followers who come and read my (its time to use your own adjectives like inspiring, weird, or whatever-the-hell adjectives come to your mind) blog and comment on it. Well there are many more who do come and read but never click on the follow button. It hardly takes two minutes.
All in all, we are all followers. I myself follow some pretty interesting blogs run by people with names such as Mithil, Ashmita, Simple Dude and Jumble Mash. I follow blogs which strike a chord with me and not those “specialty blogs” on things such as parenting, gardening or even the XXX kinds! In the end it’s just that we all need followers to stay sane.
So I would really like people to follow this blog. I wonder whether people will be more interested in following my blog if I offered them a bribe. After all I am not above bribery to support my fragile ego!!

Reminiscing the Past

I know it’s been a really long time since my last post, and how can I help? What with the colleges trying to suck the life out of me and then again the college internals to take the rest of my waking time…I seriously couldn’t get in the mood to write.
But just because I am not writing does not mean that I am not thinking, and the problem with us bloggers is that if the thoughts are not shared then it keeps on growing and growing till our head bursts.
Thus, breaking the radio silence, here’s the post.
Have you ever met someone suddenly after a number of years and even though you don’t remember his name you remember his face? Well let’s say that I get into this situation very often and most of the times it is really embarrassing as they turn out to be classmates till very recently (recently as in till my 12th standard and I am a real sucker at remembering names).
Just today when I came back for a short visit to my hometown, I met a guy at the station and though I knew his face, I couldn’t really put a name to it. Well, I thought,” Here I go again…” and tried to sneak out of the station real stealthily. But when something bad can happen, it always happens… So this guy calls me by my name (why don’t they ever forget my name?) and says,”You remember me right?” And there began another day of embarrassment. We go out to the CCD nearest to us and then starting reminiscing the past and going down the memory lane. Meanwhile I keep trying to remember his name. I just go on nodding my head and saying,” Ya, do you really believe it happened.” Or “that was so funny dude” (though I really cannot remember his name). After an hour and half, which cost me 350 rupees, he asks me,” you don’t remember my name na?” and I was caught…I said I didn’t remember his name and all that guy could say was ”Chutya”.
He laughed, I laughed, then he left and so did I but I still didn’t get his name!

And I Am Back!

Finally, it’s over. My internship at Unity Infraprojects Ltd. is finally over. No more waking up at 7a.m. in the morning. No more sleeping at 11pm at night. Now, I can go back to my own lifestyle. I can again sleep till 1p.m. in the afternoon and go to sleep at 6a.m. in the morning. I can get wasted again and not worry about office while getting wasted. The only thing I’ll have to worry about is the hangover when I wake up.
How many times have you guys woken up to feel the hangover and then again drink to overcome that hangover? I can remember several…though in my case neither was the hangover because of alcohol, neither was its cure. In my case, it was either because of something green or something brown. In most case it was green.
By the way how many of you like getting totally wasted on weeknights?
So coming back to the topic…it’s time to return to my sweet lazy life!
Oh, how I have missed that laziness…doing nothing all day long, and doing something all night long…finally getting wasted and hitting the bed…sometimes waking up in the morning with almost no recollection of the night.
Or sometimes going on a movie-watching marathon...That was my life and I am going back to it!
Sweeeeeet!!!!
I am going to go “Green” tonight! Full on!
Ciao!

( p.s. the above has nothing to do with real life...it has no references to anybody dead or alive! so dont get the wrong ideas...whatever they might be!! :P )

ツ Monday Randomness

Well Mondays are the days when I think about all the random things that come to mind during the week-ends.
Like I was thinking this Sunday whether Sunday is the last day of the week or the first day?
All my school days I had known it to be the first day of the week. When I was at my primary school I learnt this poem

Learning the days of the week can be fun.
Knowing from the first day it starts to the last day it's done.

Here is a way to remember each day;

Picking a day you would most like to play.

S       is for SUNDAY, the first day of the week
M       is for MONDAY, time for school don't over sleep
T       is for TUESDAY, maybe a special day for you
W       is for WEDNESDAY, half of the week is through
T       is for THURSDAY, as you struggle along
F       is for FRIDAY, it's time to play and have fun
S       is for SATURDAY, ending the week
And we've learned all seven days not having to peak.
Again let’s say the days of the week;

If you do not rhyme you're on a hot streak.

Sunday

Monday

Tuesday

Wednesday

Thursday

Friday

Saturday

How proud you can be for learning each day;

Forever in your mind each day will stay.

By Berine

Now if that is true, how can you call Saturday and Sunday week-ends?
And if you consider it to be the first day of the week, why do you have a holiday on the first day of every week?
Now that’s some Monkey stuff...

The Bloody Crowd

GOD! It’s so crowded over here.. Where you may ask? The answer is everywhere. Just look around you. All you'll see are people and more people. The trains are getting more and more crowded with each passing day.

Try polishing your shoes at home and then try to go from Andheri to Dadar. Before you know it, your shoes will get stamped and your ironed shirt will get crumpled. I guess if you wear a shirt right out of your drier, it will be ironed by the time you get down from the train.
Like for example, today I got my shoes shined at the Dadar station. And just as I turned around after paying the guy, some-bloody-one stepped on my shoes. I was like, " What the FUCK man?" And then I thought,"Shit, just my luck.."
I have to fight a war each day while getting on a train and even off it. No one has the patience to let the commuters get down from the train before boarding themselves. People start boarding the train even before it has stopped. And, so the poor people who are on the train and want to get down start jumping off the train before it has reached the station. That way they try to avoid the rush. I mean really.. What the hell? Only if they could just wait for the passengers to get down before they started boarding.
THE DOGS
But who'll wait. They see a train coming and suddenly all these "gentlemen" and "ladies" start behaving like a dog who hasn't eaten in days and is seeing a nice piece of meat

But who am I to preach? I am one of those hungry dogs myself. :-P

And so are you…

The Abominable Roomie

Well as u know I am a hostelite. There are some perks of being a hostelite. But with these perks come certain disadvantages. One of these is the guy I share my room with. I dont know what's wrong with him but he seems retarded in some ways. One of his favourite activties is scratching, n I think u can guess where. I mean..really..he cares nothing about where he is standing or with whom he's talking..all of a sudden he just starts scratching. Yuck!

And that's not all.. Just the other night he wakes up around 4 in the morning and starts shouting at the stray dogs. And why? Because the dogs were barking. I mean..now if the dogs won't bark who will?? Retard..

Have you ever encountered some one even close to being as retard as my room partner? Well, i hope you never do..

Another New Year..

another new year..and another set of new year's resolutions..
another bunch of high achieving targets which we can almost never achieve..
still..we write them..still we think that "this year i will complete this objective, that
i will reach the target"..and so on..
but y do we do it? the most that we do is to follow our target for a month (and thats the
maximum we do, i give up by the very next day)
and so i wonder..
does everyone have that substance in them? its very easy to try to change others.
but can we change our selves?

leave ur comments guys..
gotta sleep..my head hurts because of thinking so much..
Ciao!
