Am So Bored...

Is it only me or is it really so boring these days? It's as if there is nothing to do and still I cannot find time to blog. And now that I have some time, there is nothing to blog about. The World Cup quarterfinals between India and Australia is going on and here I am stuck in the Geo-technical Engineering lab taking readings for the past 1:30 hours...it seriously sucks big time. How I wish I was at home watching the World Cup on the big screen! Ah..but those are all wishful thinking, it won't be happening anytime soon. I really hope the Team India wins today. I really want to see them kick the asses of the Kangaroos...
Well the best part of the last week was the Oreo Cookie Cupcake made by Ashmita. They were so YUM!! If you want to check out the recipe or want to try making them visit her site: Heavenly Hearth You'll find all types of recipes and believe me they are scrumptious and awesomely delicious!
And another discovery made this week...we (read my college friends) have started idolising dogs all of a sudden! I mean seriously guys, if someone is sleeping, he's sleeping like a dog. If somebody is eating, he's said to be eating like a dog. Similarly there's studying like a dog, drinking like a dog...and so many other things like dogs...
I guess that's all for now.. Stay happy and stay great...just like dogs!

Followers!!

Well, according to the stats of this blog, I guess it is going pretty good. And thanks to all of you guys coming here and reading it. Well the main thing I wanted to say today was about the necessity of followers. Without followers what would leaders be doing?
Leaders are created only because he has followers…now just think if there were no followers how could there ever be a leader? We had a subject called Entrepreneurship and Management…and as most of you will remember, all we talked about were how important a leader is. But we never gave any thought to the guys who were following the leader.

In short, the world needs followers, and we as bloggers are no different. The number of people following the blogs is sort of a status…and supposedly the more the number of followers the better the blog. Just think what would happen if there were no followers of the blog we write? We would go crazy and would have to comment on our own posts and then again find a suitable reply to it. As of now I have 9 followers who come and read my (its time to use your own adjectives like inspiring, weird, or whatever-the-hell adjectives come to your mind) blog and comment on it. Well there are many more who do come and read but never click on the follow button. It hardly takes two minutes.
All in all, we are all followers. I myself follow some pretty interesting blogs run by people with names such as Mithil, Ashmita, Simple Dude and Jumble Mash. I follow blogs which strike a chord with me and not those “specialty blogs” on things such as parenting, gardening or even the XXX kinds! In the end it’s just that we all need followers to stay sane.
So I would really like people to follow this blog. I wonder whether people will be more interested in following my blog if I offered them a bribe. After all I am not above bribery to support my fragile ego!!

Reminiscing the Past

I know it’s been a really long time since my last post, and how can I help? What with the colleges trying to suck the life out of me and then again the college internals to take the rest of my waking time…I seriously couldn’t get in the mood to write.
But just because I am not writing does not mean that I am not thinking, and the problem with us bloggers is that if the thoughts are not shared then it keeps on growing and growing till our head bursts.
Thus, breaking the radio silence, here’s the post.
Have you ever met someone suddenly after a number of years and even though you don’t remember his name you remember his face? Well let’s say that I get into this situation very often and most of the times it is really embarrassing as they turn out to be classmates till very recently (recently as in till my 12th standard and I am a real sucker at remembering names).
Just today when I came back for a short visit to my hometown, I met a guy at the station and though I knew his face, I couldn’t really put a name to it. Well, I thought,” Here I go again…” and tried to sneak out of the station real stealthily. But when something bad can happen, it always happens… So this guy calls me by my name (why don’t they ever forget my name?) and says,”You remember me right?” And there began another day of embarrassment. We go out to the CCD nearest to us and then starting reminiscing the past and going down the memory lane. Meanwhile I keep trying to remember his name. I just go on nodding my head and saying,” Ya, do you really believe it happened.” Or “that was so funny dude” (though I really cannot remember his name). After an hour and half, which cost me 350 rupees, he asks me,” you don’t remember my name na?” and I was caught…I said I didn’t remember his name and all that guy could say was ”Chutya”.
He laughed, I laughed, then he left and so did I but I still didn’t get his name!
